As far as I can tell this astonishing counter claim seems totally credible. Here’s the math: 1,100,000 victims x 2.5 hours (avg) to cremate = 2,750,000 hours; divided by 24 = 114,583 days; divided by 4 crematoriums = 28,645 days; divided by 365 days in a year = 78.481 years.

The bombing of Rotterdam by the German Luftwaffe on 14 May 1940 is usually described as a “terror attack” or “war crime”, but if you dig a little deeper and question this one-dimensional view of history, a completely different, more complex picture often emerges – at least not that of a “terror attack” and “war crime”, but of a tragic mistake by the military leadership and a breakdown in communication.
