There is one criticism I would apply to RU’s Covid essays and a tiny sliver of the interview.  He says that Covid killed about a million Americans.  Broadly speaking that is true: in the full context of the pandemic about a million Americans died.  But it needs to be said: most, way most, of those who died did so as a result of federal and local government enforced Covid treatment policy, including denying patients effective treatment.

The treatment policy in hospitals included giving them Remdesivir (a poison and like AZT an Anthony Fauci drug), not giving them enough food or water, preventing visits by loved ones, and putting them on forced-air ventilators instead of passive oxygen.

Proper treatment included, in order of effectiveness:  Hydroxychloroquine, HCQ plus Azithromycin , HCQ and AZM plus Zinc, and most effective of all, Ivermectin.  The denial of this treatment alone probably killed at least 80% of those who “died from Covid.”

That needs to be said every time the million number is mentioned.

An interesting interview on affirmative action in US Ivy League universities . I have two thoughts on it regarding Blacks vs Latinos and affirmative action vs. pure academic merit.

Ron says that California is in the region of 40% Latino. The State is quite peaceful from a race perspective (Whites and Latinos get along well) and Latinos have an increased admission to the Ivy League (but not reaching anything like 40%). He also says that the Black proportion of the California population has been falling. There is the question that if California was 40% Black rather than 40% Latino would things be so peaceful? Based on events elsewhere they almost certainly wouldn’t. Blacks as a group are spectacular academic failures – despite plenty of funding – and they clearly can’t compete on a level playing field. Why not accept it and train them for the many necessary and useful low skilled jobs in society. In other words, stop pretending, accept reality, and forget about the Ivy League.

That brings up the second question. If the historic native population of a country (in other words the “owners of that country” in their Homeland) are comprehensively out competed by more recent immigrants, do the native population have any preferential (affirmative action) rights? For example Malays in their historic homeland Malaya being outcompeted academically and commercially by ethnic Chinese newcomers. Maybe there is an argument that the government and academia belong to Malays in perpetuity precisely because it’s their homeland. It’s an absolute form of affirmative action with Indian and Chinese residents required to get higher education in their own countries/institutions and being excluded from government.

Good interview. With the censorship this website is enduring, reaching out with interviews like this is likely effective way to spread your views. Few people can convey ideas and frame issues as well and as quickly as you can. And you come across as likeable man. So you are well ‘equipped’ for this kind of media.

However I want to point out, few people are going to jump in reading 15k word articles someone links to, even if somewhat interested. And this also applies to hour long interviews. I frequently get – “You expect me to spend an hour reading or watching something to support your point – can you give me the highlights?” Short attention span and instant gratification isn’t limited to dummies.

I wonder if you could reach broader audience with some kind of short videos? Actually I find it very likely if you can establish Youtube channel without being censored? Perhaps 5-10 minutes highlighting the basics of some issue? Ron’s weekly 5 min take on some controversy? In between your 5 min take on current issues to keep people interested and checking your channel for your take on recent events.

I could be totally wrong about this since I know pretty much nothing about publishing , but I use Youtube quite a bit and I am constantly surprised by the view count some commentators and video bloggers have – people who more or less have nothing original or interesting to say. Compared to , dare I say most of them, you are sitting on a treasure trove of very interesting material and you can deliver it better than most.

Where is the beef? What’s wrong with eliminating the elite nature of the historic elite institutions? Yu do not either increase or decrease the number of the top candidates in each annual cohort. The only thing at stake is where they go to college. None of them are going to be demoted to junior college.

Then there’s that annual college admissions rat race among the upper middle class. Sometimes it is called the struggle to get admitted to college. What struggle? Everybody goes to college. What is really going on is that everybody is trying to climb over someone else’s back (in a genial way, of course) in order to get into the highest ranked college they can even if they are in the bottom half or even bottom quarter at that institution.

Listen to the talk, and there are features to be found on this topic every year, and you would think, only half of these high performing prep and secondary students get into college and the rest have to pick trash, live in their car or join the Army.

Then there’s the issue of what the impact of the “Harvard” decision will be. Especially, the issue of what the impact on the blacks who might have been admitted in the past but will not be admitted now will be. The answer is not “pick trash, live in their car or join the Army.” The effect will be, they will go to other nevertheless toney and prestigious colleges. The worst way you could put it might be to say, they would end up scattered around other highly-ranked colleges.

I can’t elaborate on my background every time I turn around, but my opinion, schooled by my experiences in life, is that the problem of elite university privilege cannot fixed by changing the admission policies at the established elite institutions. Rather, the privilege needs to be disassembled. I can’t go into my ideas about how to do that every time I turn around either. The essence of my argument though is that the entry level to certain careers, post college, is the choke point and the entry level is what you have to go after.

Yes, not very attractive situation. Perhaps Twitter or X could be used? Hitting a search engine with; ‘Twitter Elon Musk ADL’ reveals troubled relationship between Musk and the ADL since he took over Twitter. More recently Musk has been hammering the organization for it’s alleged hypocrisy regarding the situation in South Africa. Judging by this it seems unlikely X would cancel someone by request from the ADL at least without other substantial contributing factors.

At least for blue subscribers this looks fine. Using X as base of this operation it wouldn’t hurt to post them also on youtube and see what happens.

Still, I am not sure what I propose is a good idea, and making hard hitting short videos is a lot of work, perhaps not worth your time. But I think the ‘time barrier’ I mentioned in previous post is real and it would be very interesting to see what happens if you create one or two ‘shorts’. I would be disappointed if regular readers of this website wouldn’t help in sharing them, liking etc in order to get them rolling.

Given the very numerous ultra-controversial things I’ve written and might carelessly say, I think it would be very easy for them to arrange something like that. And they’d probably take down any associated channels I had as well.

Have you considered doing a video podcast then, recording yourself talking to various people about these topics and then hosting them yourself on your server, similar to the podcasts you’ve been appearing on? It is not that expensive to serve video these days, most podcasters only don’t self-host because they are dumb. The smart ones host their podcast themselves on their own paywalled website, then only post short clips advertising the full podcast on youtube and social media.

Controversial figures like Andrew Tate have a huge presence on social media this way, even after being banned, because they get an army of fans to post their short clips on tiktok and so on, so there is no central channel to ban. Tate was probably paying his supporters to do this, but I bet many here would do it for free, because they believe in the cause. I know I’ve linked to this site in various venues over the years, and found this site because someone linked one of the articles in some obscure blog comment.

I’m sure you know the unrivaled power of TV to spread information over your lifetime, well, that is being replaced with short video clips online now. If you want to get your message out there, you need to be in that medium too, if only as a funnel to bring people to your longer videos and articles.
