The CDC recently amended six death certificates from January, 2020 by listing COVID-19 as a contributing factor, and making Lovell “Cookie” Brown, of Leavenworth, TX, the first known person in the world to die with COVID-19– on Jan 9, 2020. John Eplee, a Kansas state lawmaker and family physician who has treated COVID-19 patients, calls the case a “headscratcher” but isn’t surprised at the idea of the virus spreading in Leavenworth, a military town… “Brown’s death suggests the virus was percolating here before experts realized it. I think there are other cases like this case in Leavenworth,” he said. “They’re just not known at this time. I think this will go on forever. We’ll be gone, and we’ll still be speculating about how and where it started.”

It’s likely, said John Swartzberg, an infectious disease professor emeritus at UC Berkeley, that these early cases were initially written off as colds or flu. Swartzberg thinks — and the new death data suggests — it’s entirely possible that COVID was present in the United States as early as December or even November. The time from infection to death from COVID is typically around three weeks. “I would certainly guess the virus was introduced on multiple occasions before it was identified as a problem,” Swartzberg said, noting that states like Alabama and Oklahoma don’t generally see a lot of travel to and from China.

Said Matthew Memoli, director of clinical studies at the NIH Laboratory of Infectious Diseases, “We need to sit back and really assess what was this thing, when it started, how did we handle it, did we create more of a problem than we needed to, could we have handled things differently? There’s a lot to think about here. I always thought it had to have been here in the U.S. well before we identified it as a big problem”. His team is studying thousands of people across the country and their research suggests that by July 2020, there were about five unidentified cases for every known case and possibly more.

His boss, NIH Director, physician-geneticist Francis Collins, M.D., Ph.D., surmised, “The Coronavirus might have been spreading quietly in humans for years, or even decades, without causing a detectable outbreak”.

So too does a CDC analysis of thousands of blood samples from nine states. The samples, collected by the American Red Cross in December 2019 and January 2020, found evidence of antibodies to COVID-19 in all nine states, but there is no record of whether any of those people got sick or died.

Then, last month, the CDC announced, “Estimated Covid seroprevalence increased from [1.4% in December, 2019 to] 3.5% in July 2020, to 83.3% for combined infection- and vaccine-induced antibodies in May 2021”.

Bloomberg:COVID-19 was silently infecting Americans before first cases emerged in Wuhan: CDC study. Coronavirus was present in the U.S. weeks earlier than scientists and public health officials previously thought, raising questions about the pandemic’s origin”.

Recent CDC research supports Dr. Collins. Apart from speculation about 2019 EVALI deaths – confined to the US and proven unrelated to vaping – and midsummer nursing home pneumonia outbreaks, the CDC and WHO have also updated their records.

The WHO, suspicious of Italian claims, sent 30 of its Covid biological samples samples from September and December, 2019, to Rotterdam’s Erasmus University laboratory for re-testing and reported, “The combined results made a convincing case that the coronavirus or a similar virus was circulating in Italy months before the country’s first officially recorded case”.

Then the CDC found 1.4 percent of archived Red Cross blood samples, from December, 2019, tested Covid seropositive,[1]The presence of antibodies indicates that a person was infected with the COVID-19 virus, irrespective of whether the individual had severe or mild disease, or even asymptomatic infection. suggesting that four million Americans had contracted the disease. This finding found support when the NIH found that COVID-19 prevalence far exceeded early pandemic cases: 17 million undiagnosed cases by mid-July 2020 and 4.8 undiagnosed cases for every diagnosed COVID-19 case–an additional 16.8 million cases by July alone. Even one-third of white-tailed deer in the NE USA tested Covid seropositive.

Covid deaths double every 4-5 months, so 95,000 Covid deaths in January, 2020, suggest much earlier circulation of the virus, too. Using CDC figures and imputing US deaths, the record now looks like this:

Note: China’s first Covid death occurred on January 11, two days after the first US death. When the WHO reviewed 76,000 Chinese clinical records from October – November 2019, it found, “Sixty-seven of those had no signs of infection based on antibody tests done a year later, and all 92 were ultimately ruled out based on the clinical criteria for Covid-19”.

I worked with two people who swear they had Covid in the fall of 2019. They had all the symptoms, including losing smell and taste (and all the rest).

  2. @BuelahMan

I have heard the same thing.

Its all part of the Smokescreen.

People want to be special so they would like to claim they had Covid before anyone else.

This author is a clown and a willing member of the Turd Merchants of China.

Covid is nothing, the jabs are the killer.

Coronaviruses have been infecting humans for centuries, not just years or decades.

That’s why when they examined 10’s of thousands of blood samples from blood banks 80% of Americans had antibodies to Covid because Covid is a coronavirus and the antibodies most likely have cross reactivity.

Its also why the Slime used the bogus PCR test which detects fragments of nucleic acids but says nothing about immunity.

Hard to sell immunizations to someone who already has antibodies to the virus, eh??!!

The Bullshit is so deep and broad you could float an aircraft carrier in it.

Good to see that some truth may still come out of all of this after all. Exotic oils were getting the blame for the e-vaping deaths but I still think they were probably connected to the flu as well.

I got CDC’s patented banned biological weapon in 2019. When CIA gave it a taste for human flesh, they naturally ran it through the population where they had complete control – the USA.

Well I had an awful, awful, awful flu like illness in Jan 2017. It went on for about 3 weeks and I had a cough that lasted for probably 4-6 months afterward. Temp hit 103.5°F at a couple of points, drenched nightclothes and I thought I would cough my lungs out sometimes. I lost 10 lbs during this illness.

But I recovered. Wouldn’t it be strange/cool if “I” had one of the first Covid cases in the USA? [lol]

Maybe this is why I haven’t gotten sick over the past 18 months despite remaining unvaxxed and avoiding wearing masks or wearing them sloppily and below my nose whenever possible?

Maybe I should get an antibody test.

I know at least a dozen people who said the same. At the same time I am aware of dozens who were convinced they had COVID, but antibody testing came back negative.

Anosmia (loss of sense of smell) and ageusia (loss of sense of taste) have always been known symptoms of the common cold and influenza. Always. Claims in the news and entertainment media that they are somehow new or novel and signify the Wubonic Plague are gaslighting, pure and simple.

Antibody test in April 2020 positive. During infection I had steroid inhaler handy.

  9. Meanwhile in the ludicrous and racist dystopia, Austfailia, the Murdoch cancer continues to push the ‘China did it, and it’s a bioweapon’ hate-mongering. As the phony ‘nuclear subs’ (there will be no Austfailian subs, but US ones will be ‘hosted’ quite soon, and northern Austfailia is to be turned into a massive US armed camp for the coming war for the White Man’s Eternal Full Spectrum Dominance against the yellow inferioids) ‘USUK-A’ (to give its true title) agreement shows, the Anglo blood-lust is up. The entire political, MSM and acceptable academic spectrum is rddled with truly deranged racist psychopaths, drunk on fear and hatred, and literally gibbering for ‘WAR!” against the Chinese Nazis. To live in a country being force-marched by its ‘elites’ to obliteration is a fine thing to experience, let me tell you.

  10. Not the least bit surprised. Usually the biggest finger pointers are the most guilty. But if this was a natural occurence we will probably never find “patient zero” because as noted by some virologists – the thing was probably circulating a long time before it became so deadly so was probably dismissed as clod or flu or even pneumonia

  11. @mulga mumblebrain

Off topic I k ow – but I thought Australia already would host US subs? In any event if the deal goes through – I feel sorry for your pockets as that will eat into your tax dollars.

But yeah Rupert Murdoch is all in. He seems upset China wouldnt play bal with him.. Or maybe it was his wofe.

In any event yeah the Chinese bioweapon idea is all optocs. Biden even ordered a report in 90 days by the “intelligence” agencies – which wisely came up with nothing. They accomplish what they want just with the slander… But to take it a step further could cause war. But yeah this thing was circulating before Wuhan

The Right in Austfailia now openly call for war with China. Comparisons of China with Nazi Germany are rife. Of course the basis is pure race hatred, so deep and deranged that the sufferers seem to think that China is Iraq, or Panama or some such. War with China would cause this country to cease to exist, but the race hatred is so demented that the Right seem to welcome it. To live in a country TOTALLY dominated by insane Rightwing monsters, is quite an experience, let me tell you.

  13. Kansas/Spanish Flu 2.0 scenario is becoming increasingly more likely from what I’m observing.

  14. @mulga mumblebrain

The Right in Austfailia now openly call for war with China.

I wonder how that’s going to work out for them. Australia has a population of less than 26 million people. China has cities bigger than that.

  15. Yee says:

“The Right in Austfailia now openly call for war with China.”

Since the ASEAN nations are reluctant to start wars in the region, the mission is being assigned to the Oz…

However, I believe it’s just to create tension to frighten investments out of the region.

  16. @mulga mumblebrain

Saying that any power structure in Australia is filled with race hatred for Chinese is simple stupidity. Australia has been going out of it’s way to bring in as many Chinese as possible (1.2 million), their men are marrying Chinese women by the thousands and the Australian consumer can’t get enough of Chinese junk. Doesn’t sound like racism to me.

“Saying that any power structure in Australia is filled with race hatred for Chinese is simple stupidity.”

To deny lack of racism in Australia is the real stupidity.

“Australia has been going out of it’s way to bring in as many Chinese as possible (1.2 million)”

So? The reasons they bring the Chinese are for economic gains. Whites also tried to brought in millions of Black slaves – does that mean they were not racist against Black?

“their men are marrying Chinese women by the thousands”

Many of those who married Chinese women are the most racist (including a prominent author in this site). Take Wilson – the South African White supremacist youtuber, for another example. And there are many more, e.g. the White guy who had some “bad days” and went to shot the Korea massage women. They simply treat Chinese women as sex objects.

“Australian consumer can’t get enough of Chinese junk”

This is the most ridiculous way to deny the existence of racism – it is not even worth rebutting.

“Doesn’t sound like racism to me.”

All the factors you cited do not support your claim. So either you are not very smart, or does not understand racism, or is a racism denier, or you are a racist yourself?

I guess you were a Chinese female sex slave in another life, you’re an expert on the subject. BTW, I know quite a few Australian white men who are married to Chinese or Asian women and they show them only the highest of respect, too bad you didn’t get any in your previous life. Maybe it was because you were a bitch.

“I know quite a few Australian white men who are married to Chinese or Asian women and they show them only the highest of respect”

Sure, there are some Whites who do show respect to their Chinese wife. But there are also plenty who don’t – I already cited some examples in my previous post – and it is very easy to give more. This shows that you only have a pointless “argument” about non-existence of racism in Australia.

“I guess you were a Chinese female sex slave in another life … Maybe it was because you were a bitch.”

You couldn’t support your “point” with reasoning or evidence, so you resort in idiotic attacks.

  20. @mulga mumblebrain

Yeah it is scary how much of a lap dog they are willing to be for the US. They were the first to open their mouth calling for an inquiry (claiming it was to be impartial but we know it was only to be political) right after banning Huawei. I never hear a peep from them about talk of other places that had Covid cases prior to the Wuhan outbreak. But that’s because they aren’t interested. They don’t really want the truth. Pretty sad.

I think you’re one of the more sensible pro-China commenters on this website, so you really should avoid falling for those ridiculous claims that Covid was found elsewhere in the world prior to the Wuhan outbreak. Such theories are almost entirely based upon fallacious data, and building your propaganda upon a factually incorrect foundation is a very unwise strategy if the other side (i.e. America and the West) overwhelmingly dominates the global media.

I analyzed the supposed evidence at considerable length in my last major Covid article, and you really should take a close look at what I found:

Those Chinese are expected to become WOGs, Westernised Oriental Gentlemen, or compradores, loyal not to China but to the Gods Upon the Earth, the White, Judeo-Christian, West. Like the vermin in Hong Kong, generations of compradores, race and civilization traitors and stooges. As a Chinese diplomat here said, ‘The Australian see China as a ‘milk-cow’, fit to be milked for billions, then slaughtered later’.

  23. @showmethereal

The context was that the Murdoch thugs were screeching for an investigation ‘..with weapons inspection powers’, ie China was to be treated like Iraq under Saddam. The Foreign Minister, a dumb behemoth, like a painted walrus, but less charming, was hectored on TV by a former Murdoch goon, now at the ABC. After five or so repetitions of a demand that Australia lead the White races in pursuing this Holy Crusade, the adipository of idiocy gave in and agreed. Thus we spat in China’s face, for the umpteenth time, but boy were we outraged when the Yellow Devils dared be upset about it.

  24. @Ron Unz

those ridiculous claims that Covid was found elsewhere in the world prior to the Wuhan outbreak. Such theories are almost entirely based upon fallacious data,

Such theories are built on CDC-certified death certificates, regression of death numbers (the 95,000 people who died in January, 2020 were the tip of the iceberg), the CDC’s national seroprevalence blood samples, WHO re-tests of Italian samples, and on genetic studies like this one:

The experimental results indicate that the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States starts to spread around September 2019 with a high confidence probability. In addition, the existing confirmed cases are also used in Wuhan City and Zhejiang Province in China to infer the origin time of COVID-19 and provide the confidence probability. The results show that the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in China is likely to begin in late December 2019.

How did Wuhan move from China to Italy at Milan ( October 2019) or ot Barcelona March 2019 and in the sewar water — China was first to identify Covid and take action—remaining countries sat on their big fat asses–watched CNN or FOX and howled with laughter until it arrived —-doubt me–nephews are in funeral business and supply reefer for cadavers and have made a killing —-no need to lobby DC on behalf of Martin Marietta…..
