This is the counter up by the checkouts where special orders for windows and the like are handled, but the stations could be used as checkouts as well. I think the answer to that depends on whether or not said empire suffers a catastrophic military defeat (think Adrianople for the Romans). The old time segregationists were right, all along. Coming of age in the era of (forced) “civil-rights (for some)”, I predicted what the results would be decades and generations down the road.
I KNEW that government-backed and forced integration would not last. I expected government-forced and backed integration to be over by now, but was off by a few decades. Finally, there are cracks forming in the forced integration movement–a good sign.

3.1 You are wrong about plumbers IQ. Plumbers have an IQ of about 82 to 110 (https://www.iqcomparisonsite.com/occupations.aspx). Average Black IQ is about 85, not manyBlacks can handle plumbing. Search for “McNamara’s Morons” and “Jordan Peterson low IQ” in Youtube.com to see the limits of low IQ people. Sometimes, as in animal training, low IQ can be an advantage, but not in plumbing.
3.2 Black plumbers have been driven out of business by Civil Rights. There are fewer Black plumbers today than there were in 1950. The end result of the 1964 CRA has been to bankrupt most Black businesses and blue collar occupational niches by (a) treating small business as inherently discriminatory, hence legally disfavored and (b) opening Blacks to White competition. Back in the 1950s, professional class Blacks could specialize in selling insurance, legal aid, small stores, food from privately owned farms, and the like to a Black clientele. Supposedly about 40% of Blacks back then had their own businesses. Today that is gone, replaced by (1) welfare and (2) employment by various governmental and Non-governmental organizations (NGO) which are, ironically, entirely government supported. In the 1950s, income is about the same for both Black and White of equal IQ. Today, Black managers are typically 1 S. D. (~15 points below their non-Black colleagues) and can’t handle their job responsibilities. That, of course, makes them resentful and they fall back on something they can do better than their colleagues, which is “abolish Whiteness”. This path leads to being either isolated or destructive or maybe just leaving their job — I’ve seen both.
This is horrible for everybody concerned. The change that was supposed to empower American Blacks has, in fact, reduced them to vegetables on a vote farm (this is hyperbole to make a point). American descended Blacks are now being displaced by 2nd generation African or Caribbean immigrants. The betrayal is so horrible that it is beyond imagination, and is credible only because you can observe it in real life, as it happens.
A bit of personal experience here: Every time I’ve been grossly betrayed in violation of all previous faith or practice, the person or people involved said that they “meant well”. Sayin that the 1964 CRA “meant well” means nothing — it did evil, not good. If it meant to dig a well (an alternate although very unlikely interpretation of “meaning well”), it came as close to that as it did to doing good.

4. Viability of 1950s US Southeast. We are in agreement over

No Jim Crow south was not viable, it merely sucked the life blood and potential out a large population by fear and intimidation.

Quite so. In isolation it might have done well. In the real world, it was doomed.
Maintaining two separate economies did provide a habitable niche for both recial groups, but prevented Southern industrialization. This, in turn, ensured that the US Southeast would not be able to counter a Northeastern abrogation of the compromise that let the US Army withdrawal from Southern occupation in 1877. (After WW II, the Northeast could access the wealth of the industrialized world, and used that to establish dominance of Northeastern urban regions, which then abrogated the compromise).
However, that does not mean that abrogating the compromise did anything to make life better for anybody. Even the Northeast found itself dependent on urban areas that were economically bankrupt by about 1970, and found its continued dominance dependent on what turned out to be a (hyperbole & metaphor again) corpse.
At this point I’d like to propose a better alternative, but there wasn’t any. Of course, the Northeast would knife (hyperbole) the South at the first opportunity, and of course they’d knife (hyperbole) the Black community as well in favor of anybody who could bit higher for their work as knifemen. Any group of human politicians would do that (not hyperbole), look at the “morally superior” liberals whose predecessors actually did the knifing, and who are not twisting the knife in the wound to produce riots.

5. Black IQ and Black employment. Based on my personal experience, the gap is real, but not important. Please read now David Cole’s argument on this subject today (2022-08-23) ( https://www.takimag.com/article/the-apartheid-turns/ ). Cole is proudly Jewish, and thus free to lavish contempt on everybody without retribution. He says that most of the damage to the West has been done by mediocre Whites, not Blacks. Having spent several years in the Federal bureaucracy, I can second Cole’s opinion. Managerial, clerical and many engineering Whites have no idea of what they are doing, and have farmed most actual work out to private firms that are considered above criticism. The only serious difference between Whites and recently (since about 2015) hired Blacks is that the Blacks tell fairy stories ( like Romanoff’s ) about Whites, and want to abolish any White authority and make the wheels run backwards for the organization that hired them. Whites, on the other hand, only want to abolish any authority, White or not, and omit the fairy tale and wheel bit. Again, see Cole’s article on how this works in practice.
There is a residuum of older Blacks who have sense enough to see that an “organization” without internal authority will eventually be abolished (perhaps by foreign occupation forces), and want to just let authority be, since it is indirectly paying their salaries.
I would expect that Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (DIE) based criteria for loans would produce similar results for large corporations, especially those Zombies that are so deep in debt they live off of “bridging loans”.

5. There aren’t any good solutions. Your solution, something like “Abolish Whiteness” (
Very rare but apparently true definition of whiteness: https://www.newsweek.com/smithsonian-race-guidelines-rational-thinking-hard-work-are-white-values-1518333 ) would mean dominance of “Zombie” corporation, and an eventual duplication of the USSR’s industrial failure. I have no solutions.
Actual events are unlikely to be good.
5.1 Origins of US failure. The US is failing, largely because the “mixed economy” of the 1960s was actually a “planned” or “command” economy based on WW II experience, and much like that of the 1930s USSR. We are getting USSR level results now.
5.2 The US bartered its commercial viability for political and military support during the Cold War, and kept that policy until perhaps 2008.

The US did that by opening its markets and (later) borders to the world. White population was subject to competition from China and Japan (later India), and the Black population to competition from Africa (examples: immigration from Caribbean, former President Obama, almost all Black members of Pres. Biden’s staff). Further, the full weight of the Federal Government was on the side of the immigrants.
The result was bankruptcy of US companies, and later asset stripping of US companies that avoided bankruptcy. This forced the Black middle class into its present Federal employment, and the Whites into either financial speculation or what amounted to wage peonage.
5.3 US response to domestic failure. The US has been reducing its support of the (5.2) policy over the past decade or so, especially after the 2008 debacle. The US now favors autarky, as Globalism is visibly failing, and is trying to re-build its capital base under a command economy authority. Let’s just say that success is extremely unlikely. In any event, the US has entered into an alliance with obligate Oceanic powers (UK, Australia, Japan, possibly Taiwan) and appears to be cutting its losses in the Asian continent, including ( its Western peninsula, Europe ), and running to its fallback position, sort of like an infantry company does in combat after the CO yells “Let’s get the Hell out of here!”.
5.4 What happens next is anybody’s guess; feel free to make your own. However, the wheels came off (more metaphor) some time ago, and what happens next isn’t predictable. Could be anything from “amicable separation” to “World War the Last”.

6. So why bother talking about it, if we don’t have control?
Dunno, maybe it’s leftover Thomism, the belief that studying reality can tell you about God. Or maybe it’s just reflex from being blindsided so often. If you can anticipate the attempted blindsiding, sometimes you can be somewhere else when it happens.

my favorite example is that of radio stations, independent black owned radio was in its hayday up til the early 1970’s. When television came along and black owners sought to capitalize on the networked of black operated radio to expand into TV, the federal government told them, that there were jot enough signal space — we now know that was lie as the advent of cable demonstrated. Of course black operators knew it was a lie back then.

I just read an article over at TAC prognosticating about how the Pullman car company established the train porters as a means of black middle class entry. What the author doesn’t note is that had nothing to do with Pullman’s generosity and everything to do with the Porter’s black porters organizing for better wages — which helped develop a effective economy despite segregation. Train passengers having their own privy of hired hands — at less than half what a white porter was paid.

This happens to me whenever I’m very tired, which happens more often as I age. Think of it as a brief dip into a much lower IQ than you are used to. For a calibration, “stupid” comes from “stupor”, which was a clinical description of patients with typhus (which means “stupor” in Attic Greek, https://www.montana.edu/historybug/typhus.html). Being sick or tired can and does lower your IQ.

Well — suppose that you are a bad person who lives (and entertains himself) by hurting others. You’d find that the easiest people to hurt are stupid ones, especially desperate stupid ones. Now, wouldn’t it be convenient for you if they came color coded — so that you could tell who to prey upon and who not to? (Which is why “And using whites as fronts to get in the door would be always risky. ” is indisputably true – look at what the Democrats have done and are doing to the Blacks.) And if the color coded people start getting resentful and do some color coding of their own, the situation actually deteriorates because now interactions between the two colors become actively dangerous. (See: Chua, _The World on Fire_, for many cases in which the two colors are not “Black” and “White”; and similar dynamic contributed to WW I as liberal ideas proved to foster warfare in the mixed ethnic demographics of Eastern Europe.)
Use of color coding is not restricted by race. Blacks saying that “White people can’t fight” and “polar bear hunting” for 70 year old people (and home invasions of Asian homes because cash is often stored there) amounts to use of color coding – find an obvious indicator, then attack.
Much the same is true for hiring stupid people to do a job they can’t do. Wouldn’t it help hiring if the stupid people came color coded?
You want each person to be hired on that person’s qualifications? Sorry, IQ tests have been illegal for decades, and quotas (yes, by color code) have been mandatory for decades. Up until the 1960s Blacks were Americans, most integrated into the Southeastern social system, but some who had come North to live as Freedmen before the Civil War (before ~1850) were well integrated into Northeastern society, quite often upper middle class. That changed after the MLK assassination riots, which were used to convince the majority of Blacks that they were not part of America. Pathological denunciations much like those in Romanoff’s articles didn’t help.

I’ve seen death estimates of between 0.5 and 2.0 billion people just from calorie deficit, which would imply a Malthusian society in which maybe 80% of the population is malnourished and sick (and pissed as Hell, but that doesn’t grow calories. “The first thing the city mob does during a grain shortage is to burn down the central bakeries.”

In fact, your reply rather an example of pilpul — answering an argument to fact (how does one account for Jewish coalition losses) with an argument to sarcasm, which presumes the superior social position of the sarcastic one and amounts to an appeal to authority (“Hey, look, I don’t like this, so you’re wrong”). You apparently didn’t bother to read any of the articles I cited.

But just one of the losses cited, re-classification of Jews as White (hence an oppressive rather than an oppressed group) and consequent loss of control of Hollywood that presage loss of control in many other areas, are strategic defeats that could in themselves, be decisive in the fall of Jewish power. The Rabbi’s account of hostility between BLM and the Jewish coalition just hints at a loss of Jewish control of the Black coalition, as do the remarks by Whoopi Goldberg. Such as loos would be as significant as the loss of Hollywood.

But think about it — if the Jewish coalition really is not dominant, then fear of Jewish power is no longer high, Jewish sarcasm is not still effective. That loss of prestige and “soft authority” is common to the downfall of political factions.
