There are reasons why the neoliberal establishment hates Bernie Sanders so much, and itâs not just because heâs a threat to their donorsâ stock portfolios. Class-based material Marxism â once a pillar of Leftist thought â is not only incompatible with but also heretical to the neoliberal worldview and agenda.
Weâve all heard about normiecon meme DR3: Democrats aRe the Real Racists. There is a parallel meme among Leftists that could likewise be called âCapitalism is the Real Racist.â With class reductionists and material determinists, everything is a game of The Six Degrees of Capitalism. If a dog farts, socialists can explain to you how capitalism made that happen. All roads lead back to class conflict and the pursuit of capital. And to material Marxists, racism is no exception.
According to the materialist worldview, racism is the result of the competition for resources. If everyoneâs needs were taken care of, then there would be no need for racism. Very dubious, I know; silly, even. Iâm pretty sure that if everyone had enough and the same amount of everything, weâd still get on each othersâ nerves. Blacks would still talk loud in movie theaters, Asians would still be bad drivers, Mexicans would still have terrible taste in music, and Jews would still continue being Jewish. I mean, why is it always up to white people to stop being racist? Why canât other races just stop doing the stuff that annoys us? If you want to reduce racism, learn what annoys white people and then stop doing it. I guarantee it will get results. My job as a hater would be a lot harder if these people were actually likable. I digress.
Materialists also claim that big business has an interest in promoting racism so as to undermine working-class solidarity and make it harder for labor to organize. How they explain Big Tech censorship of white nationalists within that context, Iâm unsure. I guess you could say that capitalism promotes anti-white racism, but:
A) Iâm pretty sure thatâs not what most socialists mean when they say that, and
B) why not promote both sides of the racial conflict?
Anyway, thereâs a lot of memes about how capitalism is at the root of all racism.
In an article for Socialist Viewpoint entitled Capitalism, Bigotry, Racism and War, Bonnie Weinstein explains the âRacism is a Capitalist Conspiracyâ meme:
Capitalism uses bigotry to justify and enforce the criminalization of immigrants everywhere. They bank on their ability to pit immigrants against âcitizensâ by convincing the working class of one country that the immigrant workers from another country are their enemies, and the cause of their own economic distress. It is nothing more than the old magicianâs trick of âmisdirection,â a form of deception in which the attention of an audience is focused on one thing in order to distract its attention from another.
The capitalists donât want us to focus our attention on how they increase their own wealth by exploiting raw materials and cheap labor in less developed countries, making it impossible for the working class in those countries to survive and support their families within their own borders. At the same time they inflict draconian austerity measures against the working class in their own countries in order to increase their rate of profit. They get away with it by misdirecting the blame onto the immigrants struggling for their lives.
Anyway, thatâs the meme. And there are all sorts of variations of it, which amount to âif it werenât for capitalism, everyone would love each other,â and thereâs a lot of hogwash about how people had no conception of race until the rise of capitalism.
This meme is really dumb. Youâll notice that it works similarly to the DR3 meme in that it affirms the power and importance of racism as a concept, but shifts the blame on to someone or something else; a false narrative. Racism is simply the natural and inevitable result of multiculturalism. Itâs what you get when you try to impose the same set of rules on people with vastly different values and cultural norms. But as far as false narratives go, CIRR is less harmful to whites than the seething anti-whiteness of the neoliberal establishment.
From a Rightist perspective, you might be thinking âWell, who cares? Either way, it adds up to anti-racism and more immigration from their proletarian brothers from south of the border. Itâs a distinction without a difference.â
But from a neoliberal perspective, these âcapitalism causes racismâ memes are deeply subversive on both a moral and philosophical level. Even though it is an anti-racist meme, it is implicitly anti-anti-white. It acknowledges that while, yes, whites have done bad things in the past, it absolves whites of moral responsibility: âCapitalism made them do it.â Material conditions and class conflict made them racist.
To the neoliberal anti-white Left, this is heresy. Only non-whites can be the helpless playthings of faceless systems and impersonal forces. If white people do bad things, it was pure will-to-power, and if they fail in life, it was due to a lack of will-to-power. Whites are immune to the social or cultural forces which pull on the strings of POC like marionettes, forcing them to abandon their children and kill each other over sneakers. But anything white people do is done clear-headed and with eyes wide open.
The primary determinant of privilege in society is wealth. This is a blatantly obvious point that any random person off the street will agree with and only by gathering the smartest academics in the world together can you find people dumb enough to call it controversial
— $ean P. McCarthy (@SeanMcCarthyCom) December 28, 2019
The neoliberal establishment would like people to believe that the only way to achieve equality, and the only way for POC to thrive and live up to their potential, is for white people to be destroyed as a group. Materialists say thatâs not necessarily true: All you really need to do is overthrow the capitalists and that will fix everything. Everyone will love each other, be happy, and weâll have perfect equality. While materialists may not exactly oppose white genocide in principle, they just do not see it as a necessary step in creating an egalitarian society.
For the anti-white neoliberal establishment, this will not do. They canât have a bunch of people running around the Democratic Party saying that white genocide is optional. This is one of the reasons the DNC is worried by Bernie Sanders, and why Democratic Socialism could become â if not a threat â a severe inconvenience to the neoliberal Democratic establishment should it get too big.
While Bernie Sanders may now be bending the knee to the neoliberal race narratives, he still has a huge base of committed Marxist ideologues. Much in the same way that Ron Paul mania triggered a renewed interest in Ayn Rand, Bernie Sanders has gotten a lot of young whites to start reading Marx again. Even if the establishment can break Bernie down and get him to cuck to Cultural Marxism, the fact that he exists creates a sociocultural environment where these kinds of material Marxist ideas can flourish. As long as he is around, he serves as a rallying point around which commies can congregate, socialize, and organize.
Like Trump, a lot of Sandersâ supporters are more hardcore than Bernie. This became obvious to everyone a few weeks ago when James OâKeefe released undercover footage of a Sanders campaign worker Xenuposting about Gulags. I discussed the phenomenon of Xenuposting in my last article, and that video was a classic example of it: Maybe you want to start off with âYa know, capitalism isnât all itâs cracked up to be,â and get them on board with that, and then maybe work them up to âgulags were greatâ later. You donât lead with Xenu.
An example of this conflict between the Material Marxist and the Cultural Marxist flared up a few weeks ago. Jewish anti-white activist (and cartoon villain) Tim Wise started trending on Twitter after going on a tirade against Bernie Sanders for not being explicitly anti-white enough. This resulted in a lot of âOK Boomerâ-ing from his supporters in the Bernie Bros brigade.
The cause of this outburst was a recent interview Bernie did with the New York Times. Itâs an interesting read, and he shows some populist leg. The Times is clearly hostile to Sanders: They interspersed the interview with âfact checksâ which were disingenuous at best, and blatantly dishonest at worst. When speaking on the exploitation of illegal immigrant labor and its effect on domestic workers, the New York Times just outright lies:
Binyamin Appelbaum: But you donât think that that exploitation results in lower wages for domestic workers?
[Sanders:] Sure it does. Right now, we have people who are being exploited. If youâre undocumented, and youâre being paid five bucks an hour, why am I going to pay her $12 an hour?
[Annotation:] The prevailing view of economists is that immigration increases economic growth, so it is not tethered to lower wages or less employment for American workers.
Labor scarcity increasing wages is Economics 101. Thatâs basic supply and demand. The NYT just lies to your face. But the part that really got Tim Wiseâs panties in a bunch was when asked about why people voted for Trump, Bernie gave economic and class-based explanations:
New York Times: I think itâs â how about the fact that Trump has touched a chord in 40 to 44 percent of the people? I mean, what about that issue is that Trump is a symptom of a widespread problem. I mean, how do you address that? The problem exists whether Trump is president or not is what Iâm saying.
Sanders: I wish I could give you a great answer, brilliant answer to that. But this is what I will tell you, because thatâs, youâre right. What is the issue? How did Trump become president? O.K. And I think it speaks to something that I talk about a lot and that is the fact that the â not everybody, but tens and tens of millions of Americans feel that the political establishment, Republican and Democrat, have failed them. Maybe The New York Times has failed them, too.
New York Times: That explains the appeal of racism?
[Sanders:] Yeah. O.K. What you have is that people are, in many cases in this country, working longer hours for low wages. You are aware of the fact that in an unprecedented way life expectancy has actually gone down in America because of diseases of despair. People have lost hope and they are drinking. Theyâre doing drugs. Theyâre committing suicide. O.K. They are worried about their kids. I have been to southern West Virginia where the level of hopelessness is very, very high.
Sanders acknowledges that there are racist elements in the Trump movement but holds firm that Trumpâs primary appeal was his economic populism. He continues:
There is a hard-core support for Trump, which Iâm not going to be able to get through. Youâre right. It is racist. It is sexist. I run into that. Itâs hard to believe the attitude toward women in some parts of the country. You really would have a hard time to believe it. Weâre back into the 18th century in some these places. It is homophobic. It is anti-immigrant. Do I think Iâm going to win those people over? Nah, no way. But do I think we can get a sliver? I canât tell you how much, 3 percent, 5 percent, 8 percent, of people who voted for Trump because he said, âI am a different type of Republican. Iâm not going to cut Medicare and Medicaid and Social Security. Iâm going to have trade policies that work for workers. Weâre not going to be shutting down plants in America.
âNo, no, no, no, no, no, no!â raged Tim Wise. Wise, the Cultural Marxistâs Cultural Marxist, maintains that Trumpâs election was due to white supremacy, and to say otherwise is painfully ignorant, appallingly irresponsible, and morally inexcusable. The original tweet has since been deleted:
I have to interrupt Timâs rant here to comment about how ridiculous that last tweet is. Sure, Tim, when whites vote, itâs 100% racial tribalism. When black people vote, they carefully weigh each candidateâs positions, the pros and cons of their policies, and then vote rationally in their own best interests.
Blacks have repeatedly shown not only willingness but enthusiasm to re-elect politicians who have made their lives objectively worse by every conceivable metric. You only need to look at the catastrophic political careers of DC mayor Marion Berry, or the â currently imprisoned â former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to understand how absurd Timâs last tweet was. Blacks re-elected Marion Berry after he was caught on video smoking crack with a prostitute. The blacks of Detroit re-elected Kwame Kilpatrick after he murdered a stripper who was about to testify against his wife. Does that sound like a group of people who vote rationally?
Iâll let Tim continueâŠ
Poor Bernie has been under a lot of fire lately. Elizabeth Warren called him a misogynist, Tianna Lowe called him an anti-Semite, and now he has Tim Wise accusing him of being an apologist for white supremacy.
Bernie Twitter responded to this more with eye-roll than genuine anger.
Tim Wise makes the perfect avatar for Cultural Marxism for this example. For one, being anti-white is the whole point of his existence. Heâs not some politician or generic liberal activist who just so happens to be anti-white. Being anti-white is the whole point. He is a professional anti-white. Thatâs it. Thatâs all he does. Tim Wise literally puts food on the table by nothing other than being anti-white.
So Tim Wise has not only philosophical and moral reasons for opposing class-based Leftism â Iâm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he believes his own bullshit and is not a self-aware conman â but also financial ones. He built his entire career on telling everyone that white people are evil. Itâs all he knows how to do. He has no other marketable skills. The last thing he wants is a bunch of people going around saying that Capitalism is the Real Racist when heâs spent the last 30 years of his life telling everyone that white people are the real racists.
Tim is correct in that âCapitalism is the Real Racistâ is bullshit. But then again, so is the flapdoodle that Tim pedals. Thatâs not to say that there is no value to class-based political theory, but class is just one of several lenses that one can look at the world through. Itâs a nice tool to have in your box, but you canât get the full picture through class analysis alone. Commies tend to take material determinism to autistic levels; before you know it, theyâre claiming that Scrooge McDuck is the reason why people donât want blacks moving into their neighborhoods.
More importantly, Wise understands why CIRR is such a subversive meme. It is implicitly anti-anti-white and morally lets whites off the hook. It tells whites that there is no need to feel guilty about the past. âIt wasnât your fault.â Thatâs why Tim Wise sees CIRR as a threat and gets so triggered by it â and heâs scared shitless that it will catch on.
Wise has good reason to worry. Millennials and Zoomers are too young to remember the Cold War and the glory days of Marxist critique, but they have been hearing anti-white bullshit their whole lives. So to a lot of young people, Marxist critique and class-based politics are new and exciting. It is, in fact, quite old, but to millennials, itâs fresh and novel â and has the added benefit of telling young whites that they may not be the real racists after all.
In our cultural environment, there is a demand for any alternative to pure anti-whiteness. The Dissident Right is one such alternative, but there are high social costs to coming over to our side. Democratic Socialism offers a safer option for people who hate the whole SJW thing, but donât want the risks that go along with getting into white identity politics.
I think some whites can envision a future for themselves in Bernieland. But they can not see a future for themselves where the neoliberals are taking us. Tim Wise can kvetch all he wants, but Bernie is objectively offering whites a more attractive vision of the future.
There are very few real leftists in Western countries nowadays. Most “leftists” in Britain and the US just want open borders and are extremely pro-big corporations.
Big corporations like Google, Facebook, etc, are very much of the “left” in Western countries. Open borders neoliberalism has been rebranded as “left wing”.
“An example of this conflict between the Material Marxist and the Cultural Marxist flared up a few weeks ago. Jewish anti-white activist (and cartoon villain) Tim Wise started trending on Twitter after going on a tirade against Bernie Sanders “
Marxism [nothing more than another label for government enforced collectivism], is a fraud. Always was, always will be.
Therefor, two “marxists” “arguing” about anything is fraudulent.
The Bottom Line:
The bottom line here is that we are presented with two pontificating self-important fools arguing about how best to enforce their own, slightly at variance ,pet ideas , via government, on everyone else, to supposedly “solve” society’s problems, which ultimately makes their “arguments” no different and no less fraudulent than those of Trump and the “alt-right” [or whatever they call themselves].
This “Just”In: Government Is The Problem- Never The Solution:
The NYT /Sanders interview is just yet another “shining”example of half-wits fantasizing about solving society’s problems via more government, when any truly observant, unbiased and inquisitive person already knows that regardless of political label[ Democrat, Republican, alt-right, socialist, communist, etc. etc. blah, blah, blah] , that governments cannot solve any of societies problems, only make those problems far worse, which means that the only real way to improve societies in any significant way is to drastically reduce [or completely eliminate] the power/scope of all governmentseverywhere.
“The kind of man who wants the government to adopt and enforce his ideas is always the kind of man whose ideas are idiotic” H.L.Mencken
âBecause they are all ultimately funded via both direct and indirect theft [taxes], and counterfeiting [central bank monopolies], all governments are essentially, at their very cores, 100% corrupt  criminal scams which cannot be “reformed”or “improved”,simply because of their innate criminal nature.â   onebornfree

Hah, let people run amok?
Do you know why governments always go bad? Well guess who makes up the government.
The only way to solve sociopolitical problems is to change people at a fundamental level.
In terms of sociology, you have class struggle as articulated by Marx, and ethnic struggle as articulated by Gumplowicz (and appropriated by Hitler). Both are intended as descriptive, not prescriptive or normative.
For example, the share of national income going to capital has increased from a low in the 1970 to an all-time high recently. That shift did not happen “naturally”, it was the result of a set of political decisions directed by capital, directed at destroying the labor’s political power and redirecting national income to owners. [Sam Francis was wrong in the sense that Burnham’s Managerial Class was supposed to be subverting the interests of the owners, promoting full employment, etc., and what has occurred since the 1970’s is an inversion of the Managerial State to serve rentier capitalist interests.] It was (and is) straight up class war, as has been acknowledged by more honest members of the capitalist class like Warren Buffett.
Ethnic struggle (as conceived by Gumplowicz) is about conflicts between ethnic groups for power, and emerged as a sociological description of the emergence of ethno-nationalism in the Austrio-Hungarian Empire. While the term “race” was used, it did not denote continental populations, rather particular cultural, linguistic and religious formations (Germans, Croats, Poles, Serbs, etc.). If we look at the break up of Yugoslavia, the Civil War was a result of struggle between different ethnicities competing for dominance over territory.
Clearly in multi-cultural polities, politics will generally split into two competing factions, one cooperating with the rulers and one opposing it. In an ethnically polarized country, politics is organized based on relative ethnic distance (Chinese and Japanese in America will generally work together, as will Germans and Englishmen). This might give the appearance of “racial politics” in the sense of some higher sense of unity above ethnic identity, but is generally weaker. The exception would be a prolonged period of ethnogenesis driven by a long-term battle against an external enemy, which results in the collapse of the old ethnic identities (or their submergence) and the emergence of a new ethnos. The descendants of African Americans came from African and brought diverse cultures and customs, but all that was mostly eradicated, and interbreeding led to the emergence of African-Americans as a distinct ethnic group (who don’t actually get along with African immigrants very well, and have ongoing tension with West Indian Blacks). In contrast, the American Indians managed to maintain distinct identities, but have an emerging collective identity driven by their conflicts with European invaders.
There is nothing per se contradictory between political struggles based on class differences and political struggles based on ethnic differences. They are not mutually contradictory, and elements of each are found in the other. Its probably not an accident that Communist Parties in Southeast Asia are heavily populated by Chinese nationals. Its probably not an accident that certain ethnic groups were over-represented in the Communist Parties in Eastern Europe in the early 20th century. However, in any actual political battle, one dimension is usually dominant.
Looking at Globalism, it is pretty clear that Globalism is class war perpetuated by the Davos set against the working people in the Developed World. That being said, there are some ethnic dissimilarities between the overlords and the native workers in those countries, and part of the program is no doubt informed by racial and ethnic animus against the natives. The impetus for mass immigration in the Developed World is not “cultural marxism” or some desire to accomplish intergenerational genocide, the point is to destroy the bargaining power of labor. Woke capital uses people like Tim Wise to legitimate class warfare, to obfuscate their true motives, and to divide opposition.
Ethnic divisions will not go away because Global Capitalism dies, but it is conceivable that ethnic divisions will diminish if the capitalist overlord class stopped importing millions of foreigners in order to hold your wages in suspended animation for half a century. Likewise, who do you think is actively promoting and mainstreaming anti-white racial hatred? Why does Goldman Sachs care if your start up is all white men or not? Why does Gillette want its consumers to be self-hating soyboys? Why does every romance on TV have to be an interracial relationship?
This leads us to the political question, who, whom. If you are fighting a class war, and you control mass communications, what political question will you market to the masses? Isn’t anti-white racism self-serving to Billionaires? Want to form a union–that’s problematic, your leadership isn’t diverse enough. Do you oppose immigration–that’s racist. You want to break up the banks–you must be an Anti-Semite. Want to raise capital gains taxes–what about slavery reparations?
The reality is we are in a class war, and anti-white racism is a moral framework used to legitimate that class war, and anti-white racism will continue to be promoted by the political establishment indefinitely unless or until a political alternative seizes power. The Globalists really are at heart “anti-racists.” You can only hate a man if you first recognize his humanity. For the Globalists, human beings are basically a set of interchangeable livestock, and even where there is a clear discrepancy in quality, it can always be offset with quantity (hence, who cares about affirmative action). They can no more hate middle America than you can hate a used tire. Anti-white racism is not driven by the Oligarch’s hatred of white people (in contrast to their tools), it is to prevent the articulation of the political question in class terms. The only way to fight back and win is to re-articulate the question on class terms. Period.
Excellent! Readers are advised to skip Leblanc’s article and go directly to your comment.
The economic views on this blog are almost uniformly left-wing, starting with Ron Unz himself, who campaigned for a $12 minimum wage in 2014 (on par with $15 today).
Leftists are always the most racist (WN being a form of leftism on account of its socialist economic views). Libertarianism is the least racist, even if blacks will end up failing in a Libertarian framework (as they will in almost any other framework).
Maybe not so much a conscious “class war” as a logical consequence of 1980+ digitization/internet opening up the possibility of vast extra profits from globalized production.
Analogous to the 19th century railway revolution and the opening of the American West. It was capitalism in full flight (in pursuit of massive new profits) and anyone who stood in the way was going to get trampled.
The digital/internet game is a world of global production networks – and this time, the people who are getting trampled are the working people of the Developed World.
The “Davos Set” know that the working people of the Developing World are the losers – and it no doubt worries them – not ethically (there’s none of that) but rather through the risk of their game being shut down by Western nationalists (or alternatively Western socialists).
Hence the massive elite/MSM targeting of Western nationalists (Trump supporters) and also, in parallel, Western socialists (Sanders supporters).
For what it’s worth (and as a harbinger of the future), Millenials and Zoomers are right behind traditional leftists such as Sanders in the US and Corbyn in the UK , maybe because they prefer handouts to any hard work related to MAGA.
Excellent comment, Tulip.
There is an optimal size for government, in some situations smaller, in some situations larger.
If I were King of the Effing World, I would force everybody on pain of death to study, learn, understand, and prove to me beyond a shadow of a doubt, the difference between perfectibility and optimality.
‘the risk of their game being shut down by Western nationalists (or alternatively Western socialists).’
You’re nearly there; you just need to miss out: ‘ists (or alternatively Western’ from your sentence.
Then you’d have:
‘the risk of their game being shut down by Western national socialists.
We’ll get there in the end…
This Bernie style Marxism is actually incredibly subversive as it (rightly) shifts the blame away from Whites as a collective for things like slavery and colonialism and correctly identifies a capitalist overclass as the main perpetrators of the crimes.
This strategy also keeps the POC on board, as well as being attractive to Whites. If Bernie shills for this hard, he could be on to a winning strategy IMO. Keep the anti-White themes to a minimum and heap pressure on the neolib/necon elite.
Well said Tulip. I could not frame it any better.
But I will say something else about Marx and race. Marx explained that his analysis of Capital, being an economic system based on the ownership of the means of production (and that includes labour because the employer effectively owns the labour power, whether of the wage or slavery kind) was the standpoint of his economic-political theories. That being the case, his theories were applicable only to the Western European economic model; in other words, it was an Eurocentric look at how societies evolved over time as function of the predominant mode of production.
He made that point clear while making some casual remarks about other models of social development – for instance when mentioning the “Asiatic despotism” being outside his frame of reference. More specifically, when he compared Russia with Western Europe in regards to the rise of class consciousness and revolutionary awareness he noted that the traditional peasant communal land sharing system (oschchina) could be the basis for a parallel communist development but with significant differences to what he proposed in Das Kapital.
By stressing the distinction between societies and their models of development, Marx recognises two important points, (1) his theories are not to fit all cases; (2) different societies (races) will evolve in different ways.
Many of the versions of “Marxism” proliferating mostly in countries such as the US where there was never a Socialist tradition (it was nipped in the bud by the FBI goons and executions) – let alone a Communist one – are pure caricatures of Marx and his works, produced and promoted by the capitalist elites to waylay and distort true Marxism, a theoretical framework for the study of Capital and how Capitalism determines societies’ superstructures: politics, government, law, culture, social relations, etc. Instead, he’s portrayed as a “prophet”, “determinist”, “doctrinarian” which are the opposite of his reality-based materialism. By the way (for the “Wallies” round here) materialism has nothing to do with the obsessive possession of material goods and comforts.
One thing is certain about Marx: he would be against multiculturalism and immigration as both are tools used by the capitalist class for social conflict and down pressure on wages. Yet the plebes here keep on badmouthing the “Jewish Marx”, who actually disowned his Jewish ancestry, was brought up as Lutheran Christian and accused of anti-semitism by the Jewry’s mouthpieces.
That would be The Atlantic Council
The entire sole purpose of the U.S. Military is to shore up White Capitol(that includes white Jews) on a global scale. In that sense it is somewhat tribal, but there is no affinity to the working white plebes – at all.. A used tire for sure….
I agree with the previous three. Excellent comment.
For that (Social Nationalism), you’d need Trump and Sanders to get together, and I can’t see that happening. They both supposedly support American workers, although Trump is more MIGA than MAGA, and Sanders can’t explain how his support for mass immigration helps working people.
2.onebornfree says:
“Why Government Doesnât work?”
Some governments do work. The US government works perfectly as designed. It was designed for the top 1% and their mega banks and multinational corporations. It doesn’t work for the people because it wasn’t designed for the people and, to ensure that state of affairs, the parties will never permit the candidacy of anyone cut from a socialist mold and will kill any President who tries to change shape – as history will attest.
This cannot possibly be a surprise to anyone. If you the people are in charge, why are you giving yourselves body cavity searches just to get on an airplane? If you are in charge, why don’t you give yourselves free health care? Or make the police stop shooting you dead. If you are really in charge, why did you make 50 million (or so) of you lose your homes? That wasn’t very nice.
American (and Western) society isn’t really about class struggle, nor about politics or cultural differences, nor even specifically about wealth, although the class struggle (class war, in fact) is the natural result in an aggressive society. The real battle is between “us” and “them”. Immigrants, colored people, the surplus poor and, increasingly, the (white) goyim, are inevitably part of “them”.
Capitalism functions because government protects property rights. The distribution of property rights, however, prefigures outcomes in capitalism. Decisions about property rules are not economic but political. The Nobel Prize winning economist demonstrated this years ago in his article “The Problem of Social Cost” in the Journal of Law and Economics. Capitalism thus fosters racism where race can be used to assign or remove property rights through a political of social process. One way to make white people richer (in relative terms) is to pass Jim Crow style laws and deprive black people of property rights. In the absence of actual Jim Crow laws, Jim Crow style policies produce the same outcome. Restrictive covenants in property deeds that limit sales to black people deny blacks the opportunity to participate fully in the economic system. A company policy that you don’t hire black people for management jobs gives more of the wealth from management jobs to white people. The fight to end racism is a fight to control distributive outcomes in the capitalist system. All political decisions affect property distribution and social decisions do as well.
“Labor scarcity increasing wages is Economics 101. Thatâs basic supply and demand. The NYT just lies to your face.” – triple kudos for this! We have been so beaten down by the propaganda storm that any opposition to using the importation of foreign nationals to flood the labor market and drive wages down and profits up, is racist, that someone admitting the obvious is a breath of fresh air.
I think that Pat Buchanan said that racism is the swear word of the establishment. At this point I think we should redefine a racist as anyone who says anything that the elite don’t want said.
But as far as broad prosperity making people easy to get along with, I do think there is a lot of evidence for that. When resources are tight, people are competitors, they break up into rival bands and fight against each other. When everyone has plenty, sure there will always be problems, but mostly people are happy to live and let live. The great assimilation of all those naturally-mutually-hostile European ethnic groups in America happened during the immigration time-out of the 1940’s-1960’s, when wages were rising and pretty much anyone willing to show up for work could earn a decent living. And we have seen countries that are ethnically homogenous, when stressed with widespread poverty, split up along what appear to be trivial sectarian or regional lines and be at each other’s throats. So I’d not sneer at this idea. Ask the ghost of Lee Kuan Yew.
Ok, except Capitalism is inherently racist. At it’s core it rewards meritocracy, for the most part. Just like history is racist, because well just go read some of it, clearly some peoples did more than others. That’s not to say Capitalism is perfect, or that it hasn’t been subverted for decades by ethnic outsiders, or even that’s it’s better than any other system. I hope Bernie gets lots of young white people to read Marx, hopefully they will read the letter to Engels in which he said “Is it a misfortune that magnificent California was seized from the lazy Mexicans, who did not know what to do with it?” Wow, based. You asking blacks to be quiet in the theater is racism, because just like the left says you are enforcing your “whiteness” on them. I’m not sure what the point of this article is, if you are trying to reinforce the Kosher sandwich or not…
While Marx obviously had a great deal of insight, I am always surprised by the lack of attention to the thought of Georges Sorel, who has a great deal of relevance for our current situation.
Tulip,
If most of the capitalists are Jews and most of the proles and lumpen-proles are goys then an anti-semitic ethnic struggle would be the class struggle.
I found this strange as in Southeast Asia the Chinese are also the capitalist class and yet many middle class Chinese were leading the communist parties. But then we get the same thing with Jews in Europe/Russia. And maybe like Jews in the West, the Chinese seek protection from pogroms in the communist movement. There is also the weight of the superpower PRC in the vicinity acting to support the communist movement and the local Chinese could be drawn to it because of their ethnicity as well as the ideology. Anyway, the communist movement and the associated insurgencies have long faded away in the region, except for some remnants of the NPA in the Philippines. At the height of communist activity Islamic insurgency was almost unheard of, but now it is the Islamists that are the main proponents of armed struggle against the governments. Strange that. Makes one wonder if one wasn’t promoted to counter the other, or rather replace the other.
Chinese aren’t known as ‘Jews of the East’ for nothing.
Asians can’t drive, Blacks talk loud, Mexicans have a bad taste in music? But Jews will “only” be Jewish … that’s the most ass-kissing statement!
“The only way to solve sociopolitical problems is to change people at a fundamental level.”
All we need is a New Soviet Man.
“There are reasons why the neoliberal establishment hates Bernie Sanders so much, and itâs not just because heâs a threat to their donorsâ stock portfolios.”
Can’t buy anything the author says because he doesn’t really have anything to say. So it’s up to YOU in the comments section.
The war-mongering scum Bernie Sanders and his brother in arms Donald Trump belong to the same team. Sanders went to the University of Chicago the home of Milton Friedman and the Starve the Poor and Elevate Rich theory of economics – but this only confuses the children in the audience into believing they see a difference or an actual choice between the actors on the stage.
Confusing. This writer is a child.
In Japan, per my experience there, the ‘Asian Jews’ are commonly said to be Koreans, not Chinese.

Jim, who asks if the Bank of England’s vision for “The Future of Finance” supports the idea of a banker dictatorship, and whether this vision paves the way for the next bankster-directed war.

Sure, they’re correct in pointing out that oligarchs exploit racial differences as a divide and conquer tactic — but that does not mean that they create those differences.
But there’s a deeper issue here. Many want to believe that “racism” means something like “people of one race disliking people of another race for no reason and doing bad things to them,” and that a “racist” is someone who engages in this kind of behavior. The DR3 canard is based on this misperception, as is — to a lesser extent — the CIRR one.
But language is determined by usage, and by that measure, “racist” is clearly just a pejorative term for people of European descent — an anti-White slur. It has no specific denotation beyond that. Saying “But I’m NOT a ‘racist’!” is like a Black saying “But I’m NOT a n—er!”
Likewise, so-called “racism” refers to some vague, indefinable, but clearly evil magic that people of European descent radiate where ever they go, whether they intend to or not. It’s very similar to the concept of “Whiteness” in this sense.
If you use these semitic constructs unironically, you are implicitly endorsing the anti-White frame of the situation; their narrative. Fighting on ground that they’ve chosen.
You can see this clearly in Tim White’s virulent, unreasoning rants about “White supreemism,” “racism,” “Whiteness,” etc. Like Noel Ignatiev, he is driven by his own ethnic identity to project his own paranoid hatred of the Other onto the goyim. Financial gain is a secondary motive.
Capitalism = 7th Cavalry puts the existing inhabitants on reservations and the government gives away millions of acres of land to railroad companies for free.
That was a really good response from Sanders. Good for him for not letting the scumbag bait him.
Writer of article is pretty mediocre. Lots of good comments for a change, especially Tulip and Parfois1. Why haven’t you given these two a star Mr. Unz? Lame.
As far as Sanders, theres lots of things to not like about him. He’s definitely made some stupid statements and decisions on foreign policy. Still better than most. I would hope that “The squad” having his ear would influence him to move more left on the imperialism, if possible. Ilhan Omar is pretty anti-war, maybe he could appoint her to defense. Course the CIA would probably just kill him. I’d vote for him just to get cannabis legalized.. If he put Tulsi as VP he would be guaranteed a win, unless of course they just straight up cheat and rig the machines, as they’re already doing.

Hey Mr. Unz, maybe you should check into posting this writers stuff here.

He a full blown revolutionary. I’ve been reading his articles lately, he’s pretty spot on. I don’t agree with everything he says, but it would be interesting to see all the slaves here lose their minds when you post one of his articles. Haha
He seems to be a small operation, maybe he would like the publicity posting here might get him?
Thank you for the reminder about Sorel. I agree with some of his deviations from “orthodox” Marxism, especially the overblown determinism ascribed to it by the Capitalist propaganda. For instance, he (an Marx) advocated the revolutionary path which contradicts the linear inevitability of social evolution towards Communism. And, indeed, myth is part and parcel of any society of common bond or ancestry as Anthropology clearly reveals – it is the ideological gel that unites the in-group, be it a nation as a whole or a class within, particularly when moved en masse in revolt such as the peasants in feudal Europe or Bolshevik proletarians.
Modern examples prove that point: there was never a peaceful transition from Capitalism even to some tame kind of social democracy. Where it was attempted through the ballot box (e.g. Australia, Chile, Portugal, 1970s) it was swiftly snuffed. It is not allowed, therefore the revolutionary path is the only way ahead…and Lenin was right in grabbing the occasion… with Sorel’s blessing.
Thanks for the link. I’d never heard of Rainer Shea
There’s a lot of modernized “class struggle” type material there, attacking the Zio-Glob from the New Communistic left. More extreme than Sanders or Corbyn. For a mild example;
https://rainershea.com/f/neoliberalism-survives-by-destroying-social-cohesion
I don’t agree with some of his conclusions either, but he’s worth reading. ” Rainer Shea is a (19 year old) blogger and YouTuber who discusses communism and anti-imperialism.”
Et tu, Brute? … comes kindly to mind.
I am here because you are here, and others, not to collect accolades. In the hours of desultory doubt and near surrender we get inspiration from people like you as reminders that we are not alone and we share a commitment to a modest contribution to create a better world, if not for us, for our children and theirs. In the absence of the real one, this is our barricade for hearts and minds. If nothing else, we must at least keep alive the tradition of rebellion against an unjust social order and it would be a sad day for mankind if we were all pusillanimous conformists and gave up the struggle. I also draw encouragement from the selfless sacrifice of all revolutionaries who gave all for others, something I am unable to do, regrettably.
Thank you for the link. We must learn from each other.
PS – Take heart. The Capitalist opposition has nothing new to offer, only more of the same.
Everyone works longer hours now, including these maligned youths who weren’t born into the postwar prosperity that boomers were. As for hard work, the gig economy is an endless treadmill of legitimate anxiety with little hope for most of the sort of opportunities enjoyed in the past.
I would think the exact opposite, actually. Karl Marx would cheer on these trends, because he would analyze them as powerful contributing factors to the immiseration and despair of the working classes (defining that term a little more broadly than he did), leading thus to the proletarian revolution that never materialized in real life due to the general rise in living standards.
He made a very similar argument in favor of free trade in his own time, that it destroyed nations and families, and drove the ensuing rootless and desperate masses into the Marxist pattern:
http://mailstar.net/classwar.html
This is also why people on the right tend to dislike “Jewish Marx” and his ideology. Destruction of the nations and their replacement by a globalist dystopia sounds very much like the traditional Jewish Messianic hope. Consciously or unconsciously, and his sometimes quite real and valid insights notwithstanding, Marx’s expressly stated dream for the future (which to us appears instead a nightmare) echoes the Talmudic one in many essential particulars.
Wall street sees âlaborâ as being a necessary evil, its true value to be minimized at all cost while valuing the CEOs and âstockholdersâ above and beyond their true worth.
This even applies to CEOs, that run their corporations into the ground while still receiving massive ârewardsâ for their âexpertiseâ.
Letâs not forget the corporate vultures (a la Mitt Romney) that specialize in parting out viable businesses in order to maximize their âprofitsâ
Henry Ford âgot it rightâ when he CREATED a market for his cars by making them inexpensive while paying his workforce a decent wage. He realized that a well-paid workforce would be able to buy his products, among other things. It could be safely argued that Ford, CREATED the middle class. Automobiles, once âplaythings for the richâ were made affordable for the âordinary common manâ.
Henry Ford KNEW who the banksters and vulture capitalists were and made no bones about calling them out and naming them, Father Charles Coughlin did the same thing and was ostracized by the Catholic Church for pointing out the TRUTH about our vulture capitalist society.
âVulture capitalismâ can be defined as the owners of businesses and industries that collude with each other, also in collusion with the âmoney typesâ (banksters) depressing wages solely to increase their stockholder âprofitsâ at the top while impoverishing those who actually WORK, producing their products.
All one has to do is look at todayâs CEOs, even in failing companies, being paid exorbitant salaries, along with stock options and other âperksâ while pleading poverty, pushing down wages for their employees.
Todayâs capitalist âmantraâ is that labor costs must be as cheap as possible while the âvalueâ (profit) to the stockholder must be as great as possible. Sacrificing labor on the altar of âmaximum profitsâ NEVER works in the long term.
Of course, in the short term, with cheap Chinese goods flooding the market, the economy looks, good, but without CONSUMERS who hold jobs that pay reasonably well, all bets are off. There needs to be a balance between profits and labor.
Presently, labor is looked upon as a ânecessary evilâ to be minimized at all costs. The problem arises-without labor there are no consumers. As I previously stated, a âbalanceâ must be maintained. Labor is not evil, but a necessary component of capitalism.
Pre-WW2 Germanyâs economic successes and the rapid rise of the German economy was predicated on labor being assigned âvalueâand monetized-something that is (and has been) missing in capitalist societies today.
If labor costs need to be trimmed to assure âprofitâ at the top, something is seriously wrong. In fact, in the well-paid American automobile industry, labor costs account only for approximately 10% of total costs.
Offshoring production results in consumers (customers) being âlostâ.
As to âtariffsâ, the American country ran on tariffs from its inception until 1913, when the âincome taxâ and âfederal reserveâ was established.
The American economy is being propped up by the âsocial safety netâ which obscures the TRUE economic situation in the U S .
You are confusing free trade with immigration, two separate matters and issues. Marx’s position at the time on free trade has to be understood in the context of then current polemic about that issue. It was a purely abstract statement on a universe that never existed. Using the same logic, he would approve of the workers being oppressed by the capitalists because that would hasten the coming of the revolution. People like you would say exactly that: that he was such an evil man who wished the workers ground to the ground by the bourgeoisie. Crazy.
As to the Talmudic element in globalization, I confess not to be qualified to comment on Jewish questions, apart from their obnoxious existence as a greedy tribe . As Occam’s razor explains, Capitalist imperialism has been on that agenda for some time and the root causes of the great carnages of last century. The parasitic tribe just got a hitch on the globalist bandwagon of financial Capitalism; after all they are as a race the quintessential capitalists.
Anyone who approves of Capitalism is ipso facto on the side of the Jews. The Jewish-led US capitalist government has and is everywhere fighting socialism, it’s their messianic duty.
“But, in general, the protective system of our day is conservative, while the free trade system is destructive. It breaks up old nationalities and pushes the antagonism of the proletariat and the bourgeoisie to the extreme point. In a word, the free trade system hastens the social revolution. It is in this revolutionary sense alone, gentlemen, that I vote in favor of free trade.”
https://www.panarchy.org/engels/freetrade.html
Needless to say, free-trade is not racist, in fact, it pushes for globalism, as Marx wanted.
