When will France’s next presidential election take place? Hopefully, it will be earlier than 2027. Zemmour’s Reconquête! Party should make some decent gains of lower seats before then.
Part of French politics for good or ill (really the latter) is that Presidential candidates must obtain 500 signatures from senior elected officials. This count is mostly mayors. Le Pen almost missed this cutoff in the last election cycle. Regrettably, she snuck over the line with hours to spare.
Anyone believing Zemmour is the wrong choice, must name another potential candidate who can clear the 500 officials bar. Identifying more ideologically pure speakers is easy, but they cannot become candidates.

I haven’t listened to the interview as I don’t have an entire hour, but I’m going to add my two cents as a French resident and someone who worked for (volunteer) for the Reconquete Party in 2021 and 2022. Although Eric Zemmour is very articulate, highly intelligent and understands what is happening in France, he suffers from some deficiencies that substantially limit his effectiveness. (And I doubt that the Reconquete Party is that big.) First, Zemmour missed a golden opportunity in 2022 when the Russian-Ukraine War began. He was polling at about 15% before the war and eventually ended up at about 7%. He could have differentiated himself as the “peace candidate,” but chose not to do so. As a peace candidate he could have opposed the Russian special military operation, but said that France should stay neutral, not aid either side, and seek to arrange a diplomatic solution. The revelation by former French president François Hollande that he never intended to implement the Minsk Accord of 2015 would leave Zemmour perfectly positioned to point out the French government’s complicity in the war and to say that only regime change can restore French diplomatic credibility. Marine Le Pen is now advocating no further military assistance to Ukraine, so Zemmour could have been way in advance of that position.
He was also rather wishy-washy on the covid confinement and quasi-mandatory vaccination program. But Zemmour’s fundamental problem is that his entire personae is very Parisien. I’m reading his latest book right now and it’s full of his hob-nobbing with various politicians and personalities in Paris. He really has a problem in understanding and influencing French people in other metropolitan areas and the countryside. I just don’t see a bright future for Reconquete and France’s demographics border on the alarming for the francais de souche.
I’ve now listened to the podcast and see no reason to change my previous comment. I’ll add only the following observations. Eric Zemmour is a Jewish Berber; Berbers are not Arabs, although they’ve adopted a fair amounnt of Arab culture. I have little confidence in Marion Marechal; I see in her all the signs of the Italian Giorgio Meloni, whose rhetoric was inspiring, but whose performance in office has been abysmal. The person in the French right with the most presidential potential is the RN’s number 2 figure, Jordan Bardella, but he is young and probably won’t be running before 2037, by which time demographic changes will have sealed France’s fate.
It seems like there are only three options:
-1- Back an existing candidate, Zemmour being the best
-2- Find a new one that obtain the 500 signatures
-3- Surrender
Do you have a name for #2? I’ve not heard of any credible alternative that could become eligible. If #3 is unacceptable, then #1 is the only choice left standing. Zemmour is not perfect, but he is atop a short list.
I have had similar experiences here in the U.S. One can openly support Not-The-President Biden. Or, indirectly support the Veggie-in-Chief by spreading #NeverTrump lies. Yes. Trump is not perfect. However, not supporting him is stupid, malicious, or both.

Florian Phillipot of Les Patriotes party took early and strong stands against the covid madness and French aid to Ukraine. I don’t think he could clear the 500 signatures to get on the ballot, but Marine Le Pen and Eric Zemmour barely made it. And Florian Phillipot has precisely the same chance of becoming French president as do the other two: zero. I think option 4 is to realize that there is no voting one’s way out of the situation and make personal preparations accordingly. In France, as in the U.S., that means staying out of major metropolitan areas. Eventually the elites will begin fighting among themselves and that may give dissident right people a chance to make a difference.

Meh, I don’t know. I mean there are some good Jews, say Henry Makow or Bro Nathanael, but it’s a risky proposition to trust any of them in such a delicate matter (immigration).
That said, you can’t trust a woman either (i.e. Meloni, who had great ghost-written speeches but…), and of course you don’t want Indians like in the UK, and in fact, I don’t think you can count on anyone in the democratic system.
Because such things are not decided at the Prime Minister / President level, but at the Rothschild / Soros level. The guys who decide what the President can do and what he can’t.

However, the Gilets Jaunes protests achieved little. I see little reason to believe the French people have the will to end democracy, even to save themselves.
There is nothing to stop you from voting for Zemmour while you await the SHTF moment. Even if does not work, is anything lost by trying? Would French internal security monitor elections and place your name on a round up list based on your ballot paper?

Well said. Add to that the fact that Jews have been secretly supporting European(White)Nationalist groups for some time now. Certainly not because they love white Europeans so much it simply follows their usual MO in working to bind Europe and the US to them. I have sat back and marveled at how few white people who are aware of so much else, know about this issue.The same Jewish groups have also worked to support flooding Europe with third worlders thus Europeans can feel Jewish “pain” in their troubles with the Palestinians. But eric zemmour’s discourse has been held for decades by countless people of French origin without the same media coverage (except for the national front, but to demonize it) or such praise on a site like Amren.
More honestly, Eric zemmour himself recognized that he had nothing more than his predecessors, except that, dixit: “he couldn’t be accused of being a racist and anti-Semite, given his origins (North African Jew). ”
He was wrong, because his own co-religionists shamelessly called him a “Nazi”. And all because of his defense, however succinctly, of the French identity (see below).
This is how ridiculous the majority of Jews and their leftist pets in Europe have become ( same syndrome with the very philosemite Trump, also called a fascist. ) We’re in full mental illness, inculture and psittacism.

To cut a long story short, Marine le pen thinks Islam is very compatible with Europe, abortion is wonderful and she herself called Eric Zemmour a Nazi. Need further proof?
More interesting is the behavior of the imassive community of Muslims in France, towards zemmour. We have a sample of this right here in the comments with zemmour “responsible for civil war” or “Jewish plotter”.
It’s worth noting that this nonsense comes from a despicable individual by the name of alain soral, an uncultured and mentally ill homosexual, who is unfortunately also taken seriously on this site, american readers being unaware of the perversity of the guy. In short, this Alain soral has found a very nice financial niche by exploiting ” french ” Arabs and blacks on the internet. And Eric Zemmour is ” sa bête noire.”
First of all, there can be no civil war with intruders who have no place in French society. There is indeed a latent war, but with invaders, parasites and allogènes.
And these non-whites harbor a vicious hatred for Eric Zemmour. They feel betrayed.
They’re stupid, but they know very well that it’s the Jews who permit their settlement in Europe, their privileges and the largesses they enjoy.
So when a Jew rises up against them, it enrages and terrifies them.
Then for Éric zemmour who would be in a conspiracy with left-wing Jews: several points, first zemmour’s right-wing views are sincere. He’s a rare intelligent Jew, and he knows that a Muslim France will be problematic for Jews, but these rightist views will never take precedence over his Jewishness. That’s why his proposals will always be limited so as never to endanger his own community. Which is normal. And, effectively, it ends with jewish controlled opposition.
So, It’s all about civic nationalism mindedness, which serves no purpose.
For example, he proposed imposing a French first name on Muslims in order to integrate them (and not to throw them out, notice ), which is ridiculous: 1 many non-Muslim blacks live in France and have a French first name, but that doesn’t stop them from behaving badly; 2 although a Semite, Eric Zemmour shows a total lack of understanding of the Muslim religion, where adopting a French first name is unthinkable…
Then he appreciates very much (appreciates not loves) life in France, its fine wines, its restaurants, its Parisianism, and only a few decades of massive non white immigration have transformed one of the world’s most pleasant countries to live in, into a dangerous, ugly, disgusting shit hole … thanks to his Jewish co-religionists.
In short, the epicurean Zemmour no longer feels good and safe in France. And being intelligent, he has no desire to move to the boring, artificial country of Israel. In fact, He is trapped.
So, Éric zemmour is and will always be an illusion.
